Even you register and insert basic informations, you simply don’t know how to cope with this big number of informations on little space. Don’t worry, in this post we will explain how to navigate your facebook profile step by step.
I log in on facebook, so what now?
In the middle facebook window you can see all recent news that your friends have been doing lately. If you don’t want to see news from some friends, you may “Hide” that friend so there will be no news from that person on news wall.
On the right of that windows, you can find event that has been coming up, friend requests that are pending and awaiting your approval and upcoming birthdays.
As you can see there is blue bar placed on upper part of website. There you can find link for:
Facebook home page – big font that represents facebook logo; when you click on it, you will be bring to your home page.
Next to the logo is three little icons that turning into red if you have friend request, private message or some notification. If there is no those three, that little icons will be transparent (you can barely see it).
Friend requests come if someone add you as friend so he/she waiting for you approval before you become friends.
Private message will not be transparent if some person (it doesn’t need to be your friend) sends you a message. So clicking on it you will be able to read it.
Notifications is all news that you get when person on you friends list send you anything or comment on your posts, photos, videos, etc.
On the right side of blue bar is placed home link that has same meaning and path as facebook home logo page. Next to it is Profile that lead you to own profile page where you can find wall and all your entered information. Next to that is Account, here you have many options like edit friends, set account settings (changing your name, email, current password, mobile informations, choose language you like and deactivate your account), privacy settings – choose visibility of a information availabe in your Profile, Application settings – choose to edit you application visibility on your wall.
There is also Search bar so you can search for your friends and add them as your facebook friends.
If you click on you Profile button, you will see all informations that has been recently added. Right under blue bar is placed something called Status update bar (on picture you can recognize it with “What’s on your mind?”). Here you can add your short message about specific situations like “Today is nice day, so I’ll go for a ride with my bike” and press Share button. Now your friends can comment or like your status. Under this status bar, you can see 4 different icons… First icon is “Photo icon” which is made to help to to upload, take a photo or create an album. With second icon you can do same thing but with videos (record or upload a video). Third is if you want to create some event… For example, you want to make barbecue so you create event and invite all friends that you want to join you. After they joined, make an agreement and have a great time. Forth icon is for sharing links from youtube with your friends; just copy url from bar where is placed that youtube video and paste it under Link.
There is also one important thing that we skipped, and that is Chat. Chat is placed in a bottom right corner of your window. Here you can find all friends who are online and type instant message to communicate with them. It is one of the funniest things on facebook because it is free and you have all your friends on a same place.
